Lovely

Shashank

The night sky glared one day,
The moon stepped down,
Stars faded as the moon headed for the crown.
A royal robe with a shade of blue,
A pinch of violet and a dash of glow.
Walking to the aisle, a stature so firm,
Calm as the wind, visage full of charm.
"You have spots and you borrow my thunder,
I deserve it better, this is all a blunder!"
Screamed the sun, his flares burnt the sky,
"I give life, without me they'll die!"
"You are useless, you are weak,
I am the greatest, I am at the peak!"
The Sun shed fury, to claim his spot,
His words spit fire, destruction he begot.
"I'm weak and useless, I borrow your thunder,
I have spots, you are a wonder,
I'm not great, I have no fire,
You are strong, someone to admire."
Said the moon, with calm and a smile,
"The crown waits for me at the aisle.
You are great and above all living,
But I'm like them, simple and giving.
You are powerful, you are all above,
But I am a symbol, a denotion of love.
You have respect, noone looks at you low,
But they can see me, I have no dazzle to show.
You are strength, you resemble pride,
But I'm easy to approach, they ask me to guide.
I'm a medium, a satellite of conversations,
Lovers share me, across the nations.
You bring day, you are the start,
I'm the rest, the sleep, the night's part.
You are a star, alone you shine,
But I have a million stars, its a band of mine.
You are undisputed, you are the empire,
I'm just a prince, a part of your fire.
You need not the crown, you are the throne,
This crown is for me, to show you, you are not alone.
